Meet Parchment Bakehouse
Parchment Bakehouse is a cottage bakery founded by partner's Jeff and Lukas. We currently specialize in cinnamon rolls and variations of them. We keep the menu tight and focused on what we do best. To mitigate risk, we are starting as a cottage food bakery selling at farmer's markets and pop-ups around town.
We make everything fresh for each market and pop-up that we do and we only use the best quality ingredients. Our cinnamon rolls are a brioche style dough that cold proofs in the fridge overnight to get that delicious deep complex flavor.
We believe that joy is found in the pursuit of balance - the kind that brings comfort, warmth and a sense of home. The nostalgia that cinnamon rolls create - the familiar scent, the soft layers and the sweetness is something that creates that emotional connection between people.
We hope you love them as much as we do!
Meet Jeff
I grew up in Nebraska and from an early age, I found I liked to be in the kitchen. I grew up with a lot of canned and boxed dinners, large portions and overcooked meat (sorry mom!). My favorite quick meal growing up was Stouffers macaroni and cheese - the microwave was quick, but the in the oven got those crispy bits on the sides which were amazing. My taste buds have grown a lot since then!
While going through old childhood items, I found a book from when I was 9 year old at the local community center filled with a few recipes and it instantly brought me back to that time and remembering how much I enjoyed it. I got an easy-bake oven for Christmas one year and pretty sure that I broke it by using it too much.
I have a huge sweet tooth and love cinnamon rolls and brownies.
Unpopular opinion: I don't like mayo, ranch, or mustard - it's the sour profile I don't like (but I do like pickles!) I don't mind those items in my cooking if the flavor profile changes, such as potato salad. I'm also not a fan of mushrooms.
